Sharks of 2024

Obviously my two trips to Roatan provided for excessive shark interactions with the pretty Caribbean Reef Sharks, but other exciting encounters included Bull and Reef sharks in Key Largo on the Duane and the Spiegal Grove, and numerous Lemon, Reef, and my first Tiger shark.

The Tiger Shark was exceptionally memorable as I almost jumped off the boat on top of it. After that initial excitement, I was able to get my camera unclipped to get a blurry photo, but it is not suitable to show here. Just for the memory.
Speaking of blurry photos, we were able to get a whale shark encounter on the way back from a dive on Roatan. It was a hasty grab fins and mask and camera and go go go go. The captain did a wonderful job getting us in position for two attempts on the beast before it tired of us.
